Tension headaches don’t all come from where you think they do.
If a client comes to you with a headache and wants you to fix it then and there or you have clients who get headaches regularly then you probably give them a lot of relief by working the posterior neck and occipitals. But what about those stubborn headaches that don’t seem to change much when you work on these areas? In this interactive practical workshop, we'll explore other common areas of tension that can contribute to headaches, some of which you may have forgotten about and some you may never have considered before.
Using a simple process of assessment and treatment, you'll learn how to identify and address tension in areas such as the subclavius, anterior torso, jaw, and sinuses. If we have time we'll also revisit the posterior and lateral neck briefly to take a look at some specific culprits here.
The workshop will include an anatomical overview, demonstration and practise time and some options for self-care for your clients. To get the most out it, make sure you team up with a colleague or have a friend/family member to work on during the observed practise sessions.
