Food Vendor Application and Agreement

PenMet Parks will be requesting the following documents in order to vend at our events. More details will be provided in the application.

1. Certificate of General Liability Insurance
2. Health Permit from Pierce County
3. Signed Agreement
4. Logo in a jpeg or png file format (optional)
5. Menu specific to our event

Vendor Fee Reimbursment Program:

PenMet Parks will hand out $5.00 off coupons to staff and volunteers who are working our event. You would then collect these coupons and then turn them back into event coordinator. Staff and volunteers would pay remaining balance after the $5 coupon was used. PenMet Parks would then refund the value of coupons you received up to a maximum amount you paid in vendor fees. The vendor fee is $50.00 for all food vendors for this event, so if you received 8 of these coupons, we would refund $40.00 back to you after the event. A maximum of 10 numbered coupons would be handed out during the event.

INSURANCE:

A Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 general liability, $2,000,000 general aggregate and naming PenMet Parks as additional insured is required and due on file at PenMet Parks no less than 7 days prior to the event. PenMet Parks does not maintain insurance that will respond to claims against the applicant arising out of the use of facilities/parks by the applicant, its members, or those attending the event. Depending on the service you are providing, and the activity and risk level of your group, you may be required to obtain bodily injury and property damages liability insurance in accordance with District policy, name the District as an additional insured on the policy, and be responsible for obtaining said insurance.

Depending on the service you are providing, you agents, employees and officials, while acting within the scope of their duties, from all causes of action, demands and claims, including the cost of their defense, arising in favor of the organization, the organization’s employees or third parties on account of personal injuries, bodily injuries, death, or damage to property arising out of the acts or omissions of the organization, its employees or representatives, concessionaires of the event or any other person or entity, except for liability caused due to the sole negligence of the District. After reviewing this application, the District will determine whether you must indemnify the District and its agents.

Other Requirments:

1. The Event Fee is due at signing of agreement.
2. No refund will be provided in the event of a no show by vendors.
3. Vendors must obtain adequate permits from the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department and must follow all applicable food handling rules and regulations.
4. Vendors must be self-sufficient. PenMet Parks is not able to provide access to utilities.
5. Mobile food truck vendors must stay on designated path when driving into and out of the park in accordance with load-in/load-out directions. These will be provided to you one week before the event.
6. All tents must be weighted down. Staking is not permitted.
7. All PenMet Parks are smoke free. Smoking or vaping is not permitted.
