CPR/AED:Course on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C covers all aspects of CPR skills so that you can recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking with confidence. It teaches theory for adult, child and infants, including two-rescuer CPR skills. Courses meet legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and include the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

BACKGROUND: Transport Canada has jurisdiction over first aid requirements for people who work on the water. There are two types of Marine First Aid Courses. For those who work on a smaller craft or lower-risk environments. Marine Basic First Aid is the appropriate course. Marine Basic First Aid is a 2-day course that is essentially the very same as Red Cross Standard First Aid, with a few extra topics specific to the marine environment, such as communication in an emergency on the water, and added emphasis on the topics of drowning, hypothermia, and shock.

Offers basic first aid and caregiving skills for youth 11-15 years old. Participants learn how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. The course also offers youth the skills to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families.
