NAACP North Shore Scholarship Application

The NAACP acknowledges the high cost associated with higher education and is committed to providing financial assistance to African Americans and minority groups who demonstrate academic promise. In 2009, The Avis Peters scholarship was established in honor of Ms. Peters who was a supporter of the organization. The committee awards one $2,500 scholarship to a student of any major exhibiting strong leadership skills and active in their school and community. The scholarship can only be applied toward covering the cost of tuition, fees and books.
Application Requirements

Applications must be submitted online by May 15th, 2023, and must include the following materials: Completed application and response to two essay questions; Two letters of reference - one from a professor, advisor, or a business professional, the second reference can be a personal reference; An unofficial transcript
