I hereby apply for REALTOR® Membership in the Four Rivers Association of REALTORS® (FRAOR). I will pay my setup dues, including my dues payable and a nonrefundable application fee to FRAOR. I understand that in the event of non-election, this amount, less the non-refundable application fee, will be returned to me. (Dues are prorated based on the month joined unless the applicant held membership the previous year.
I will attend all classes required for new members within ninety (90) calendar days of my membership application. I further understand that failure to meet this requirement may result in having my membership inactivated.
I agree to thoroughly familiarize myself with and abide by the Code of Ethics, Constitution, Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the Constitution, Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations of Idaho REALTORS®, and/or Oregon Association of REALTORS® (OAR) and the Bylaws and Policies and Procedures of FRAOR, as amended and adopted from time to time. Further, I agree to the obligation to arbitrate or mediate controversies arising out of real estate transactions as specified by Article 17 of the Code of Ethics as defined in the Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual of NAR, as amended from time to time.
NOTE: Applicant acknowledges that if accepted as a member and subsequently resigns from the Board or otherwise causes membership to terminate with an ethics complaint pending, the Board of Directors may condition renewal of membership upon applicant’s certification that they will submit to the pending ethics proceedings and will abide by the decision of the hearing panel. If the applicant resigns or otherwise causes membership to terminate, the duty to submit to arbitration continues in effect even after membership lapses or is terminated, provided the dispute arose while the applicant was a REALTOR®.
I consent that FRAOR may invite and receive information and comment about me from any member or other persons. I agree that any information and comment furnished to FRAOR by any person in response to said invitation shall be conclusively deemed privileged and not form the basis of an action for slander, libel, or defamation of character.
I further understand that I acknowledge that I can access copies of the associations governing documents referenced above by requesting copies from the association office.
