Fair Queen Contestant Application
Wednesday, August 14, 2024 - 6:00PM at Southside Stage

Each queen contestant will have to write an essay and give a speech. They will introduce themselves, be interviewed by a panel of out-of-county judges while competing in an evening gown competition. A queen and an alternate will be crowned. The winner will enter the State Fair Queen Contest in January 2025. Rules and deadlines for the competition are listed below. There will be two Contestant Seminars at 2:00PM at the Grange Fairgrounds on Sunday, July 7th, 2024 and Saturday, August 3rd, 2024.

Rules to Enter -- Entry Deadline is July 1st, 2024

1.) Be a female who is a US citizen and a resident of Pennsylvania.

2.) Be at least 16 year old, but no older than 20 years of age as of June 1st of the year entering the contest.

3.) Must be a Centre County resident.

4.) Not hold any other State title for any other commodity group or pageant during her reign.

5.) Be single, have not been married, have not been pregnant nor given birth to a child.

6.) Must be available Wednesday, August 14th, 2024 for:

a.) Luncheon at 12:00PM with one guest at Progress Grange #96 in Centre Hall, PA.

b.) 6-10 minute interviews at the conclusion of the luncheon

c.) 3-5 minute speech, "Why Come to My Fair."

d.) 4:45PM Pictures -- 6:00 PM Coronation at the Southside Stage -- Impromptu questions will be asked on stage.

7.) Must participate in Fair activities as outlined and be able to meet dress code.

8.) Judges will review essays.
