RULES: All AERC rules apply. This is a family-friendly and inclusive event open to all. All are welcome! Please note that unkind, disrespectful, rude or mean behavior directed to any person involved in our ride will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification. We are all here to enjoy this wonderful sport!
Your 35 & 50-mile entry includes one dinner, AERC sanctioning fee, completion award, state drug test fee, and routine veterinary exams before and during the ride. Ride rules will be posted in camp. Should a horse require special or emergency treatment, those arrangements and payment are the responsibility of the rider and will be handled individually by the attending treatment veterinarian.
Dogs are allowed in camp if on a six-foot leash at all times. No dogs are allowed in the vet check or dinner areas, period. Open fires are not permitted. Those who bring extra horses (horses not participating in the ride) must pay a fee of $5 per horse per day. Ride management is responsible for a per-horse fee paid to Orick Rodeo Grounds. All riders and volunteers must complete and sign the general release on the rider entry form.
SANCTIONING: This ride is sanctioned by AERC.

START TIMES: 06:00 for the 50 MILE and 08:00 for the 35 MILE
AWARDS: Completion awards will be given to all finishers of both distances. First Place, Best Condition and High Vet Score awards will be given for the 35 and 50-mile events.

DISEASE CONTROL POLICY:
When coming to a REER ride, it is your responsibility to NOTIFY RIDE MANAGEMENT IMMEDIATELY if you know of any travel or disease quarantine restrictions IN YOUR AREA such as, including but not limited to, vesicular stomatitis, equine herpesvirus, influenza, etc... You may be denied entry to the ride or you may be required to have a current health certificate. For the safety of other horses at the ride, the head veterinarian may deny you entrance to ride camp if you come from an infected area or if your horse shows any sign of disease. You will be given a full refund for the ride entry fees. No other expenses will be covered.
CANCELATION POLICY:
1. ONLY the rider can cancel an entry. Sponsor can cancel for a Junior Rider.
2. Cancellation Refunds:
- When a rider gives written notice to the Ride Manager at lease one week (7 days) prior to the ride (by midnight Friday, August 1st), a full refund will be offered.
- REER does not provide refund for no-shows.
- Ride Manager has the discretion to provide late cancellation refund to rider who has extenuating, emergency circumstances.
- Current REER member may cancel up to Friday before the ride and receive a full refund.
- Refund is issued when and how it is convenience for the Ride Manager.
- Horse that doesn't pass the vet exam will receive a refund less $35 in administrative fees/cost incurred.
3. REER is not responsible for online system processing fees.
