Straight Back
These are not interchangeable as the seat frames differ. Cars with arched backs have two distinct “pockets” for the occupants’ backs and a noticeable bulge where the backs meet the center console. Straight seat backs are just that, with no scallop or pocket, and no bulge at the center console. For DHC, seats went from arched to straight in December, 1953.
