  • If you don't have a survival plan for your dog, please make one. It is important to ensure that your animals will be cared for if you're no longer able. Make sure family members are aware and also add instructions in your will.

  • Do you agree that, if for any reason, you need to relinquish the dog, you will contact Support 4 Paws? Under no circumstances is the dog to be rehomed, taken to a shelter or abandoned.*
  • Do you understand and agree that Support 4 Paws can't guarantee temperament or behavior of any dog? The dogs have been fostered and you will be informed of any known or observed behaviors.*
  • Do you understand and agree that there is an inherent risk with frightened or fearful dogs that may lead the dog to scratch or bite you or others in your home?*
  • Do you agree that you will not hold Support 4 Paws liable for any injuries you may sustain from your new rescue dog? Support 4 Paws will not knowingly place an aggressive dog into a home but can't guarantee how the dog will react in a new environment.*
  • To minimize risk to you, the dog, and others, Support 4 Paws suggests that your new dog is not taken out in public for 2 weeks so that they have time to adjust and settle. Support 4 Paws doesn't support taking dogs to dog parks where they may become over-stimulated and over-excited potentially leading to unpredictable or undesirable behavior. A rescue dog should be socialized thoughtfully by taking leashed walks and responsibly introducing the dog to other people - including kids as long as the kids have been instructed how to properly interact with a dog.
