IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR APPLICATION - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

Thank you for deciding to apply for accreditation as an eCMID Accredited Vessel Inspector.

The scheme is administered on behalf of the International Marine Contractors Association by the Marine Surveying Academy (MSA), a division of the International Institute of Marine Surveying (IIMS) whose address is Murrills House, 48 East Street, Portchester, Hampshire PO16 9XS, UK. If you require assistance, the MSA team can be reached by telephone on +44 23 9238 5223 or by email at msainfo@iims.org.uk.

The form you are about to complete asks for a good deal of information from you with proven evidence required of your skills, experience, and knowledge. This application form can be saved at any point, enabling you to return to it later.

PLEASE HELP US TO MANAGE YOUR EXPECTATIONS

You are entitled to apply to become accredited for up to 6 different vessel types, but we would ask that you are realistic in your ambitions and think carefully about which vessel types you are best suited to and where your experience and expertise lie. Very few AVIs are accredited for all vessel types. We do not guarantee that you will be successful in all the vessel types you apply for and, ultimately, that will be down to an Accreditation Assessor's decision based on the information you supply in this form. Please take your time and be as thorough as you can.

On receipt of your accreditation application form, the Scheme Administrator will be in touch and, having assessed your application, will let you know if more information is required before it goes to an Accreditation Assessor for formal review.

An invoice will be generated by IIMS. Please note that all applications must be paid before assessment begins.

    IMPORTANT NOTE

Your application and personal details will only be shared with nominated MSA head office staff and scheme Accreditation Assessors who will review your application. We do not share your personal data with anyone else and it will be held on secure MSA servers purely for processing your application and managing your accreditation (if successful) in the future.

    Good luck with your application.
