Application procedure
- Step 1: Submit your abstract by using the online submission system for EFFoST2023 Conference at www.effostconference.com. The deadline to submit your abstract for EFFoST2023 is Monday 15 May 2023. Don’t forget to tick the box “Student of the Year Award” when the option is provided.
- Step 2: The deadline for filling in this application form is Monday 29 May 2023.
Please make sure you have the following information at hand before proceeding:
- A copy of your student card or student registration
- Your conference abstract incl. abstract submission number
- Key info on higher education diplomas, minor and major thesis
- Key info on work experience
- List of key publications
- Key info on awards, research grants, fellowships, skills, etc.
- Your motivation to apply

The EFFoST Student of the Year Award is open to MSc or PhD students registered at a European University or College. PhD students who completed their degree in the academic year 2022-2023 and MSc students who have completed their degree in the period July 2022-June 2023 are eligible to participate in this competition. Students must have been registered in a degree programme in Food Science and Technology or similar. Part-time students may also apply.
