  • Get_Dirty CIRCUIT @Blockhouse Bouldering [5:30pm on Sundays, starting Jan 21st, 2024]

    A circuit class designed for those who want to explore strength, endurance, and coordination. In this version of Get_Dirty, we'll take time together to come up with movements that attempt to fit all our needs and abilities. With my guidance and facilitation we'll use all of the below methods conceptually and creatively to enable us to learn about and explore our strength, endurance, and coordination! 

    Suspension training: using ropes or straps with handles, suspension trainers allow us to use our own bodies to create varying resistance by positioning ourselves in various angles while holding on to the suspension trainer. The TRX straps have been the most popular trainer. Suspension training can offer the opportunity to explore strength, joint stability, flexibility, and balance. 

    Calisthenics: exercises that utilize our own bodies as resistance to build strength. Some well known movements are sit ups, push ups and planks

    Plyometrics: jump training where we ask our muscles to rapidly shift from extension to flexion to build power. More specifiically we are building strength in the muscles and speed in contraction time. Well known movements are box jumps, broad jumps, and high skips.

    Anerobic & Aerobic exercises: The anaerobic energy system is what our bodies use for short bursts of movements and The aerobic energy system supplies our body’s energy for longer duration - lower intensity movement. By utilizing various movements that challenge both systems we are asking our bodies to adapt to those conditions. When they adapt to higher intensity conditions they become more efficient and use less energy to perform our daily activities.

    Stretch_Flex @The studio on Lavelle [6:30pm on Wednesdays]

    A gentle class designed for those who experience joint pain, tight muscles and who want to explore core strength and balance in a group setting. Stretch_Flex is a class that focuses on stretching, joint mobility & stability, core strength and balance.

    Flexibility is a result of our muscles and connective tissue becoming more flexible through stretching. Everyone has access to varying levels of flexibility, and stretching can help alleviate tightness and pain in joints and muscles.  

    Joints, which contain tendons, connecting our muscles to our bones hold a lot of our capacity to be flexible. They also work best when flooded with and lubricated by synovial fluid which is stimulated by moving the joints through our personal available range of motion. 

    In this class, regardless of your movement experience we can tune in together to stretch, twist, rotate, and explore the relationships between our muscles, bones, joints, and core.

    Get_Dirty TABATA @the studio on Lavelle [5:30pm on Fridays]

    A Tabata interval class designed for those wanting to explore movement in a group setting with an interest in exploring strength, endurace, and coordination. This version of Get_Dirty is a full body class that uses minimal equipment and space

    Tabata intervals were created by Dr. Izumi Tabata. The intervals can simultaneously improve anaerobic and aerobic energy systems by combining short bursts of work with short breaks. The format is 4 different exercises performed for 20 seconds at high(er) intensity with 10 seconds of rest for 4mins.  

    The anaerobic energy system is what our bodies use for short bursts of movement and exercise and The aerobic energy system supplies our body’s energy for longer duration - lower intensity movement and exercise

    Working with both energy systems can improve our body’s functioning systems through adaptation. By participating in movement outside of our daily routines we are asking our bodies to function and adapt to higher demands which can result in our daily activities feeling easier. 

    What's great about this class is that it's mainly the time intervals that we are sharing, not the specific exercises. This allows each individual to perform exercises that fit their needs and desires while being in comrodorey with a group.

  •  I, have volunteered to participate in a fitness program provided to me by Zest Bodimer (“Trainer”), which may include, but may not be limited to, resistance training and aerobic or cardiovascular exercise. In consideration of Trainer’s agreement to instruct and train me, I do here now and forever release and discharge and hereby hold harmless Trainer and their respective agents, heirs, assigns, contractors, and employees from any and all claims, demands, damages, rights of action or causes of action, present or future, arising out of or connected with my participation in this or any exercise program including any injuries resulting there from. 

  •  I, have been informed of, understand and am aware that any exercise program, whether or not requiring the use of exercise equipment, is a potentially hazardous activity. I also have been informed of, understand and am aware that any exercise and/or fitness activities involve a risk of injury, as well as abnormal changes in blood pressure, fainting, and a remote risk of heart attack, stroke, other serious disability or death, and that I am voluntarily participating in these activities and using equipment and machinery with full knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the dangers involved. I hereby agree to expressly assume and accept any and all risks of injury, regardless of severity, or death. 
    I have been advised that an examination by a physician should be obtained by anyone prior to commencing a fitness and/or exercise program, or initiating a substantial change in the amount of regular physical activity performed.

  •  If I, have chosen not to obtain a physician’s consent prior to beginning this fitness program with Trainer, I hereby agree that I am doing so solely at my own risk. In any event, I acknowledge and agree that I assume the risks associated with any and all fitness related activities and/or exercises in which I participate.


    I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE THOROUGHLY READ THIS FORM IN ITS ENTIRETY AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY. BY SIGNING THIS DOCUMENT, I AM WAIVING ANY RIGHT I OR MY SUCCESSORS MIGHT HAVE TO BRING A LEGAL ACTION OR ASSERT A CLAIM AGAINST TRAINER FOR YOUR NEGLIGENCE OR THAT OF YOUR EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR CONTRACTORS.


    This form is an important legal document that explains the risks you are assuming by beginning an exercise program. It is critical that you have read and understand this document completely. If you do not understand any part of this document, it is your ultimate responsibility to ask for clarification prior to signing it.
