We are so thrilled that you are taking the courageous step of auditioning! REAL has 15 spots available for this summer intensive and we will be carefully selecting students that have a passion and desire to use their creativity to impact the entertainment field in some capacity. 

We would love to accept everyone, but this program is meant to be an immersive simulation of the music industry and real time - it is competitive, intense, and fast-paced. It's important that we know you are passionately interested in knowing how to use your creative ability to make a living. Although focused on the music industry, this 3-day experience is designed to show you how to use your creativity, in any field. 

Please carefully follow the audition instructions for each category. You can only submit 1 audition per application, so if you are interested in production but also play an instrument please mention that in this audition! 

MUSIC PRODUCTION AUDITION SUBMISSION: 

If you are interested in studying MUSIC PRODUCTION during REAL, please submit one of the following: 

Production & Engineering: If you are interested in production, please submit 2-3 samples of your beats (if you don't have anything recorded and you don't sing or play an instrument, please submit a 30-60 second YOUTUBE video of you answering the following questions: 1) What does music mean to you? 2) Why are you interested in production?

Songwriting: If you are interested in songwriting, please submit either a voice recording of your song WITH LYRICS, or submit the lyrics of your song/poem. You can also submit a 60-90 second YOUTUBE video of you singing

MUSICIANSHIP & PERFORMANCE AUDITION SUBMISSION: 

If you are interested in studying MUSICIANSHIP & PERFORMANCE during REAL, please submit one of the following: 

Instrumentalist:  If you play one of the following instruments: Drums, Electric Bass, Piano/Keyboards, Electric Guitar, Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello), Horns (Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Flute), Turntable

Please submit a 3-5 minute YOUTUBE video of you 1) Introducing yourself (Name) 2) Song Title  3) 30-90 of a song of your choice

Vocalist: If you desire to sing or rap, please submit a 3-5 minute YOUTUBE video of you 1) Introducing yourself (Name) 2) Song Title 3) 30-90 of a song of your choice

Dancer: If you desire to dance/choreograph, please submit a 3-5 minute YOUTUBE video of you 1) Introducing yourself (Name) 2) Song Title 3) 30-90 of a song of your choice

MUSIC BUSINESS & MARKETING AUDITION SUBMISSION: 

If you are interested in studying BUSINESS & MARKETING in the music industry during REAL, please submit one of the following: 

Business & Management: Please submit a 30-90 second YOUTUBE video of you: 1) Introducing yourself 2) Answering, what music means to you? 3) Why are you interested in the music business? 4) What is one of your strengths?

Social Media/Marketing: 

3-5 examples of your digital artwork: T-shirt designs, Social Media Content ie: Tik Tok reels, posts, logos, PowerPoint presentations, poster designs, etc.
