- Should your application for accommodation be successful, the deposit would go towards your rental bond.
- The deposit will not be refunded if you decide not to stay at the college and fail to give notice one month prior to the start of term.
- If your application for accommodation is unsuccessful the deposit will be refunded.
PBC cannot guarantee that it will be able to provide accommodation to meet your need as it is only able to provide accommodation from units which are vacant. However, as the units are provided primarily for the use of students, PBC applies the following hierarchy to allocating units:
- Full-time Students: First consideration will be given to students who are enrolled in full-time studies at PBC.
- Part-time Students: If any vacant units remain available, part-time students would then be considered.
This hierarchy is applied to all vacant units available at the beginning of each trimester of study.
To help us consider your application for accommodation, you must sign and date the following declaration:
1. I do not have any criminal convictions, nor am I subject to any current criminal proceedings which could result in a conviction.
2. I understand that Perth Bible College will make any offer of accommodation subject to a National Police Certificate being provided by me to Mrs. Addie Twyerould, Receptionist, at least one month prior to my occupation of the accommodation.
3. I give Perth Bible College authority to conduct any relevant checks through the references I supplied in this application and, if my application is successful, at any time throughout the duration of my occupation of the campus accommodation.
4. I understand that Perth Bible College might require me to attend an interview prior to any offer of accommodation being made to me.
5. I understand that I will live in a student community and that the following policies and procedures apply to ALL PBC residents, regardless if they are PBC students or not.
6. I have read and agree to abide by the PBC Student Code of Conduct, Sexual Assault & Sexual Harassment policy, and Sexual Assault & Sexual Harassment procedure.
7. I agree to report to Mrs. Addie Twyerould, Receptionist, at any time throughout the duration of my occupation of the campus accommodation, any concerns I may have in relation to matters outlined in the policies and procedures under the preceding point.
8. I understand that I will live in a community that includes children under 16 and that, in doing so, I will carry certain responsibilities.
9. I understand that Perth Bible College requires me to report to Mrs. Addie Twyerould, Receptionist, any concerns I may have regarding the welfare of a child living on campus if I were to form a belief, on reasonable grounds, that a child living in PBC accommodation has been sexually abused or is the subject of ongoing sexual abuse.
10. I understand that, though there being no legal obligation on Perth Bible College under Western Australian Mandatory Reporting legislation, the College assumes responsibility to report such matters to the Department of Child Protection, therefore, I will not make any report directly to the Department but will report to, and cooperate with, Mrs. Addie Twyerould to articulate a written report.
11. I understand that failure to abide with ANY of the above documents may result in my eviction.
12. I certify that all the information I supplied in this application is truthful and correct.
13. I agree to notify Perth Bible College immediately if there is a material change in any information provided in this application or supporting documentation.
