Becoming a Volunteer

Adult volunteers must submit an online volunteer registration form below, complete an orientation, and successfully complete a background check.

If you are not already a Gardens member, new volunteers will be invited to join our member community at a sliding scale.

Youth Volunteers

We are happy to accept youth volunteers, volunteers between 14-17, to the volunteer program. To register as a youth volunteer, please complete our Youth Volunteer Registration Form.

Volunteer Registration and Onboarding Steps

1) Please complete this form as the first step in registering as a volunteer. To submit this form, you will also need to read the Volunteer Handbook and agree to the waiver which is linked below. You may want to review this prior to completing the form to ensure you do not run into any technical difficulties.

2) Once you submit your volunteer registration form, you should receive an automated email confirming receipt of your form and detailing the next step, completing an online orientation.

3) Once you complete your orientation and complete the Asana form included in the automated email, you will receive your Volunteer Portal link within the week so that you can begin volunteering.

4) After you select your first volunteer assignment, a background check will be initiated through Checkr.

Please note that specific volunteer assignments may require additional training. We strive to offer many options as starting points to volunteering though and hope you'll be able to begin volunteering within a month of your anticipated start date
