Click on the box below for more general information about our sessions this year:

    • Discussion on Form, Covid, Contacts, Room and Board
    • Registration

      • Registration table opens at 1 pm on Wednesday June 14 and will be available at scheduled times every day.

      • You will need to pick up ID badge and room assignments from Registrar.

      • The University will require you to sign an acknowledgement of responsibility ($75) for lost keys when you pick up your room key.

    • Covid Safety Policy

      • This year we once again have a COVID safety policy approved by the Executive Committee.  We anchor our policy to our host institution’s policy.  Short version- we will respect each other, Planning will work with individuals as much as possible on individual preferences, masks are welcome but optional at this time, vaccinations are strongly encouraged, and if you are sick, stay away.

Click on this link to see the policy: 2023 OVYM Covid Safety Policy

We ask you to bring a good quality mask (we recommend N-95 or KN-95 masks).  Also, bring rapid test kits for your group.  We will have a limited number of these items available at our registrar’s table.

    • Working with Children and Youth - Information for Adults

       •   All adults working with children will need an up-to-date background check and are required to complete a short training.

      •   OVYM will submit and pay for all background checks.  This needs to be done soon.  Please contact Susan Lee Barton at admin@ovym.org to get your background check. If you have a current background check, you may submit it to Susan Lee.

      •   Child Abuse Prevention Training will be available on Wednesday at 1:30 at a room near the registration table.

    • Costs this year

This year we are experimenting with “pay as you are led” option for the registration fee this year.  Registration fees help cover the costs for Annual Sessions programs (beyond the amount we pay to our host institution for food and lodging).  You will read more about this later.  In the past, we have asked adults to each pay $30 to cover programming, Young Adults and First-Time Attenders to pay $15, and children (18 and under) are always free.

Food Costs Continue to Rise.  Inflationary pressures on the cost of food averaged over 10% this past year.  The food service company has raised prices from last year.  If you opt to eat all the meals from Wednesday dinner through Sunday lunch, you will pay $210 this year.   Individual meal prices are available are also available as you register.   See “Meals” section for more information.

Lodging Costs remain the same.  If you share a dorm suite room, you will pay $25 per night.  If you are single and do not want to share a suite, you will pay $50 per night.  Linen package prices have risen from $17 last year to $25 this year.  See “Seton Center Dorm Suites” for more information.

Remember that children 18 and under enrolled in Children and Youth programs are FREE.  Costs are covered by the Yearly Meeting.

Young Adults (18-35 Yrs old) and First-time attenders to OVYM receive a 50% discount.   Yearly Meeting subsidizes the other half.

If you need additional financial assistance, please talk to your monthly meeting or quarterly meeting.  OVYM does not have a scholarship fund at this time

    • Seton Center Dorm Suites

All the dorm rooms are in the Seton Center and are serviced by two elevators or stairs. The Seton Center will be the location of much of Yearly Meeting activities.  We will have dorm rooms on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floors.

Most all of the rooms are semi-private dorm suites.  A suite consists of a locking door from the hallway into the suite, a common sitting area, vanity sink area, two bedrooms with doors for privacy, and a toilet/shower that also has a door for privacy.   Here is a link to a layout of a suite:  DORM Room Suite layout

Linens will be available for $25/set per person.  The set includes pillow, pillowcase, sheets, wash cloth, towel and a light blanket.  You must sign up for linen service in our registration form.  You can also bring your own linen and not pay the linen fee.

If you are single, you will share a suite with another person for $25 per night.  (If you need a fully private room, it is $50 per night.)   We encourage you to find your own roommate and then let us know in the “personal information” section 3 about your roommate choice. (Each person will indicate roommate info in this section.)

If you are single and want to share a suite to receive the $25 rate but need the Registrar to assign you this roommate (same gender), we ask that you identify whether you want your roommate to fully vaccinated for COVID and affirm that you are up-to-date on vaccinations as well.  We encourage roommates to set their own policies concerning masks and other issues as roommates.   If you do not have any preference whether your assigned roommate is vaccinated or not, just mark this in the response section.

Families with young children can bring pads for the floor so everyone is together.  MSJ wants to limit room occupancy to 4 people in a family but will accommodate an additional child (if children are small).

If you want a roommate who masks then you will have to find one on your own and tell us about them in this registation. Your other option is to request a single which, unfortunately, will cost double.

      Here are the Room Options:

Shared Double (Semi-Private ) This is 2 semi-private singles in a shared suite. In the personal section, you can ask for a specific person to share the suite with you or take a random person. Random suite mates will be same gender. Make sure a person agrees before you ask for sharing.
      $25/person/day

Single Private Double A suite for 2 with one user paying for both rooms, one empty.  This is what we have most of and will be our standard for a single.
      $50/person/day
Single Private Room There are very few (3) actual singles. Contact me if this is important. First served.
      $42/person/day
Triple (Shared) There are very few (4) triples. Contact me if this is important. 2 beds in a larger room and a single in a smaller room in a shared suite. I expect these may be best for families with 2 partners (2 private beds) to share one semi-private room and up to 3 children (1 semi-private bed, 2 on the floor). First served.
      $50/persons/day

There are no double or queen beds in any configuration.

    •  Meals

Below you will find a chart for the cost of each individual meal offered by Mount St. Joseph Food Service.  The cost of one person purchasing a full meal plan is $210 (a slight $10 discount).   As you enter your meal choices in Section 3, you can choose an ala carte meal plan by choosing which individual meals you will be buying from cafeteria.   As you fill out the choices on the registration form in section 3, you will manually add up the cost of all the boxes you check and enter into the REQUIRED Field “Meal Cost” for each person.

Do you have special needs for meals?  The kitchen really prides itself on working with individuals.   In Section 3, there is a dialogue box where you can enter any special information about your food requirements for each person on your registration form.  Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, etc.  If you are medically intolerant to gluten, the kitchen can purchase packaged Gluten Free.  If you have nut (or other food) allergy, note this here.  The kitchen will work with everyone on an individual basis.  We ask you clearly communicate your needs to us on the registration form so that the kitchen can start planning for your visit!

      Chart of Meal Prices-

      2023  B +  L +  D  =  Tot

    • "Pay As You Are Led” Registration Fee

We are experimenting with “pay as you are led” option for the registration fee this year.
Registration fees help cover the costs for Annual Sessions programs (beyond the amount we pay to our host institution for food and lodging).

In the recent past, children ages 0-18 participating in the children's and youth programs paid nothing (Children are always free!),
Adults attending annual sessions for the first time and young adults (age 18 to 35) paid a $15 registration fee.
All other adults paid a $30 fee.

This year, we are asking Friends to “Pay As You Are Led” Registration Fee. Calculate the amount you are led to pay, up to $30 per person.
