Flag Bearers Women's World Cup

About the Opportunity

Football Australia is inviting Northern NSW Football clubs to complete the below Expression of Interest to provide Flag Bearers for one of two FIFA Women's World Cup Women's World Cup 2023 matches in Sydney.

This is a fantastic opportunity for clubs to be actively involved in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023.

Games available for Flag Bearer opportunities are as below

• Friday 28th July - 6:30pm - England v Denmark - Sydney Football Stadium
• Saturday 12th August - 8:30pm - Stadium Australia

Flag Bearers must be at the stadium 5 hours prior to kick off for training and will receive FIFA Women's World Cup apparel that they get to keep.

To be eligible to enter the draw clubs must have a 1 star accreditation with Gamechanger (Football Australia Club Development Program) by the closing date of EOIs.

Further Information

• Only 1 star accredited GAMECHANGER clubs will be added to the draw. 
• Football Australia and NNSWF will provide chaperones from the planned meeting time until duties are completed and children are returned to their parents/carers. All chaperones will have valid employee Working with Children Checks
• Selected clubs will be required to supply 6 flag bearers each aged 12-17 years
• FIFA Women's World Cup Australia apparell will be supplied to each flag bearer they can keep
• Each flag bearer will be provided with two tickets for the match they are attending, one ticket for themselves plus an additional ticket for a parent/guardian
• Northern NSW Football will conduct a draw on the 15th May for the clubs that will provide the flag bearers for each event.
