Exclusivity Agreement
The Wedding Cut and their representatives shall be the exclusive videographer(s) retained by the Client for the purpose of documenting the wedding. Family and friends of the Client shall be permitted to photograph and/or video the wedding as long as they shall not interfere with, cause delays to, or otherwise hinder The Wedding Cut’s ability to fulfill their contractual duties as set out in the terms of this contract. The Wedding Cut and parties acting on behalf of The Wedding Cut have sole creative license, (including music choices for the feature(s)) but will bare in mind request(s) made by the client prior to their wedding day.
Deposit & Payment
The Client agrees to pay a £250 deposit to retain The Wedding Cut to perform the services specified herein and to secure the date of the booking. This deposit is nonrefundable. The Client shall pay the balance due at least four (4) weeks prior to the wedding date . Failure to do so will void The Wedding Cuts’ obligations. The video typically takes 8-12 weeks to complete for delivery from the wedding date, but the Client understands that this time may vary due to editing workload from prior engagements.

Cancellation
If the Client cancels this agreement at any time the Client shall be charged the amount of the nonrefundable deposit. If the Client cancels this agreement within thirty (30) days before the wedding the Client shall be charged the entire balance due. If the wedding date is changed the nonrefundable deposit may be transferred to the new date only if The Wedding Cut has no other bookings or proposed bookings on the new date, otherwise such change shall be treated as a cancellation by the Client. Should The Wedding Cut terminate the contract, all monies paid (minus the deposit) will be refunded to the Client.
Aerial Videography/Photography
The Wedding Cut work with CAA approved vendors and suppliers to get the most impact out of aerial imagery for your finished film. All aerial footage is to be provided by trusted CAA approved, third party suppliers. All responsibility including professional liability and professional indemnity insurances for aerial work is purely down to these individuals and your contract with them. The Wedding Cut accepts no responsibility for these suppliers. Please contact the supplier directly if more footage is wanted by the client than The Wedding Cut uses to compile the videos.
Permissions
It is the sole responsibility of the Client to secure permission of the church, synagogue or other officials to video and/or photograph at the ceremony and reception locations. The deposit is nonrefundable if the officials prevent filming. It is the Client's responsibility to inform The Wedding Cut of any restrictions at the ceremony or reception venue that may affect The Wedding Cut's ability to adequately perform their duties. The Client understands that such restrictions may adversely affect the quality of their video and that The Wedding Cut is not responsible for the consequences of such restrictions. Further, the Client understands that while The Wedding Cut will make every effort to capture good sound and image quality, we will not be held responsible for circumstances preventing this, such as adverse weather conditions, people walking or standing in front of a camera(s), poor acoustics or difficult lighting. The Client also understands that The Wedding Cut will not be responsible for missing any part of the wedding day if The Wedding Cut has not been given adequate warning of that particular occurrence.
Third Party Printing
The Wedding Cut cannot accept any responsibility or liability for colour balance or quality of any Prints reproduced from the DVD(s) or USB Flash Drive(s) that we supply by Third Party Printers such as High Street photo processing shops or online printing houses.
Delivery
The Wedding Cut will provide the Client with a completed video package of their wedding in the form of one unit. Further copies may be obtained from The Wedding Cut at the price of £35 per USB and price to be confirmed for a further USB Flash Drive(s). The Client must inform The Wedding Cut within 14 days of receiving their Video section of the selected package of any technical or quality problems associated with the video. The Wedding Cut with then, at their sole discretion and at no charge attempt to rectify those problems. Any editing changes to the content requested by the Client (e .g. change of music, adding, removing or extending scenes ) will be charged to the Client at a rate of £50 per hour.
Copyright, Reproductions, Footage & Online Streaming
The Wedding Cut shall own the copyright for all footage created and shall have the exclusive right to make reproduction: any unauthorized copying of videos or images constitutes an infringement of this copyright. The Wedding Cut shall only make copies for the Client or for The Wedding Cut's portfolio, samples or promotional purposes including specified previews on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and The Wedding Cut’s own website ( unless otherwise specified ). The preview can be viewed using a Public domain. The full wedding video can be viewed on The Wedding Cuts own website and access to this content shall be given to the Clients using a Private domain, incorporating a unique password. If The Wedding Cut desires to make other uses, it shall do so only with the Client's permission. Any images or copies of images whether stored digitally or otherwise and any computer program including any source or object code, computer files or printed documentation relating to such images are protected by the Copyright and Design Act 1988. Unedited footage, including all audio files are NOT included in any of the packages. However, the footage and all files associated with a Client’s wedding can be purchased for £500, with the client supplying The Wedding Cut with a minimum of 500GB HDD.
Client's Usage
The video DVD/USB files are strictly produced for the Client's private home use only. Any duplication or broadcast (including unspecified Internet use) without express written consent of The Wedding Cut is strictly prohibited. Clients assume all liability for any for copyright infringement.
Failure to Perform
If The Wedding Cut cannot perform this Agreement due to flood, fire or other casualty, strike, act of God, or other cause beyond it's control, or due to illness, then The Wedding Cut shall return the money paid by the Client, less the nonrefundable deposit, in respect to that specific failure, and shall have no further liability with respect to the Agreement. This limitation shall also apply in the event that the video and/or photographic materials are damaged in editing, lost through malfunction, lost in the mail or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of The Wedding Cut. The Wedding Cut makes no guarantees, either expressed or implied in regard to aesthetic qualities of the completed video and/or photographic images. The Wedding Cut recommends that all Clients purchase adequate wedding insurance to cover such instances. In the event that The Wedding Cut fails to perform for any other reason, The Wedding Cut shall not be liable for any amount in excess of the retail value of the Client's order. Liability on the part of The Wedding Cut shall be limited to the return of all monies paid by the Client to The Wedding Cut.
Prices
The prices are adjusted periodically. Future orders ( e.g. extra DVD copies, extra USB Flash Drive(s) shall be charged at the prices in effect at the time the new order is placed. Expenses are charged at a cost rate. For weddings over 50 miles away from GL20 will incur additional mileage costs, at 45pence per mile from GL20. All toll roads will be paid for by the client.
Licenses
At the remaining balance stage you will see two additional nominal fees under "Expenses" or "Licenses", which are the music licenses needed in the UK to make sure that everything we create for you is legal. These licences are commonplace in the UK and allow streaming your video on any website (LOML - Limited Online Music License), including The Wedding Cut, YouTube, Vimeo etc and the second license is the LM license which allows us to use music on your final Feature, which is contained on your final end product (LM - Limited Manufacture). These licenses vary in price year-on-year, but are normally £8-£10 each.
Client's Originals
If the Client is providing original prints, or media footage owned by the Client or Clients family or friends to The Wedding Cut for duplication, filming or inclusion, in the event of loss or damage to these images or media footage The Wedding Cut shall not be liable for any amounts in excess of £5 per image or digital media supplied.
Miscellany
This Agreement incorporates the entire understanding of the parties. Any modifications to this Agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties. This agreement shall be covered by the laws of the United Kingdom of Great Britain.
Any individual aspects or particular requests with regard to your video should be made prior to you agreeing to this Contract. The parties have read this Agreement, agree to all its terms and acknowledge receipt of a complete copy of this Agreement signed by both parties. Persons signing as Client below shall be fully responsible for ensuring that full payment is made pursuant to the term of this agreement.
