  • Facts you should know: 

     

    • A mental health disorder characterized by persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in activities, causing significant impairment in daily life.
    • About 2/3 of people who complete suicide are depressed at the time of their deaths.
    • As you run, your heart beats faster to pump blood through the body. The breathing system responds by working harder, and the brain prepares for the hard work. As a result, it releases endorphins, which are hormones that cause what many people call a “natural high” or a feel-good sensation. This state creates a mental effect that helps you deal with depression and improves your mental health.

     

  • Agreeing to participate in MWAP activity, you understand MWAP holds no  resposibility and you are fully responsible to make sure your are physically prepared to complete the 5k walk or run.  A participant accepts risk and agrees to waive the company's liability for damages associated with inherent dangers.
