  • WHAT IS A TRADELINE?

A trade line refers to a record of credit activity on a specific account, typically associated with a credit card, loan, or other form of credit.

Trade lines are important for credit reporting and scoring purposes.

They provide a snapshot of an individual's credit history and behavior, allowing lenders and credit bureaus to assess their creditworthiness.

Positive trade lines, where the account holder has made timely payments and maintained a low credit utilization ratio, can have a positive impact on credit scores.

On the other hand, negative trade lines, such as late payments or defaults, can have a negative impact on credit scores.

Trade lines can also be bought and sold in the context of credit repair or building credit.

Some individuals may choose to become authorized users on someone else's credit card account to benefit from their positive trade line history and improve their own credit profile.

  • Limit - Amount of available credit

Age - Date the account/tradeline was opened

Reports - Date the account/tradeline reports to the credit bureaus each month

    What tradeline should you purchase?

*Aged Lines* - Strengthen Your Payment History

If you have a short payment history, adding a tradeline that has been opened longer will increase the length of your payment history which will increase your score.

*Higher Limit Lines* - Increase Your Available Credit

These tradelines will help you raise your credit score by increasing your overall available credit. If you are above 10% of your available credit, a higher limit line will help.

    Who tradelines will actually benefit?

*Someone who has current high credit card utilization (above 10%)*

*Someone with fairly new/no credit and has a thin credit profile (less than 2 years)*

When should I expect to see a change in my credit score?

The reporting dates are listed below, but everyone credit profile updates at different times, so please allow up to an additional 7 business days after the reporting date for the bureaus to update your report.

60 Day Term - Amount of time you'll be on the tradeline

*Great thing about my tradelines is that you'll be able to remain on the card if you pay for another 60 day slot at the end of your 60 day term*
