• Dimensions of Wellness and the Circle of Life:

    Holistic wellness considers multiple, interconnected dimensions of health (physical, emotional, financial, spiritual, social, intellectual, occupational, and environmental) that comprise the Circle of Life. Each dimension can directly influence longevity and quality of life. Also, the dimensions of wellness are interconnected. Achieving a balance is critical for surviving and thriving.

    Use the following survey to rate your personal satisfaction with the dimensions of wellness on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 star being least satisfied and 10 stars being most satisfied.

    Overall physical health, including maintaining of a healthy body, having good physical health habits, eating nutritious food, performing regular physical activity and exercise, and obtaining appropriate healthcare.

    Psychological stability, mood, and peace of mind from minute to minute, day to day.

    Peace with life, meaning, purpose, connection to something greater than yourself, having a set of values, principles, morals and beliefs.

    Having an interest in and concern for the needs of others and humankind. Participation in meaningful relationships with family, friends, romantic partners, and others in your community that provide social support and a greater sense of purpose.

    Participation in activities that support learning, self discovery and awareness, development of knowledge, skills, and perspective to become more effective in personal and professional lives, leading to personal fulfillment, satisfaction, and enhanced quality of life.

    Aligns with your values, interests, and skills; provides a sense of purpose and meaning; allows you to make a positive impact on the world; provides opportunities for growth and development; offers a good work-life balance.
  • Environmental Health (Work and Home)

    An environment promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being, through factors such as access to healthy food, clean air, natural light, physical activity, positive relationships, and stress reduction.
