Please note that private lessons are most suitable for practicing artists, advanced undergraduates / graduate students, and those interested in applying to art or conservation programs. It is expected that those applying for private lessons will have some fine art or craft experience.

For those who are beginning to study bookbinding and are seeking an introduction / overview of the craft, I recommend in-person group workshops at the San Francisco Center for the Book, or the American Academy of Bookbinding in Telluride.
