• Youth Guild Artwork Submission Form

    Artists can submit one work of art in clay or glass to be considered by our panel of jurors. The winning works will be displayed at The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery for 1 week following our opening reception on July 29th 2023. Winners' artworks will also be displayed on the gallery's website and Instagram.

  • Arist Eligibility Criteria

    • Artist must be aged 14-18
    • Artist must be a Youth Guild member

    Artwork Eligibility Criteria

    • 1 original artwork per artist
    • Artwork is in the medium of clay, glass or claymation animation
    • Work made at school is eligible
    • Work was made from September 2022 - July 2023
    • Artwork is less than 12'' x 12'' (or contact us)
    • Artwork is finished and ready to be displayed

    Important Dates

    • Drop the artwork off at the gallery gift shop during gallery open hours from Tuesday July 18th - Sunday July 23rd
    • The opening reception will be held July 29th from 2-4pm
    • Artworks can be picked up from August 6th - August 13th. If there is not room to display all artwork, you will be emailed with an earlier pick up date.

    Winning the Juried Show

    • Winners will be selected by a panel of jurors currently working in the art industry as curators, instructors or artists.
    • 1st Prize - a clay kit complete with tools + 5lbs of clay, as well as two tickets to Claytime ($150 approx. value)
    • 2nd Prize - 2 tickets to Claytime ($75 approx. value)
    • 3rd Prize - wins a 1.5lb clay kit with tools ($35 approx. value)
    • Winners and runners up will be displayed at the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery July 29 - August 5, 2023.

    Winning artworks will be installed in The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery on July 25th for viewing at the opening reception Saturday July 29th 2023 from 2-4pm. Selected additional works will also be displayed dependent on space. Winning artworks will remain on view from July 29th - August 5th, and will be featured on The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery's website and Instagram page.

    Arists will recieve an email when their work is ready to be picked up. All works must be picked up by 4:30pm on August 31st 2023 or they may be disposed of.  By signing below you agree to have your work on display from July 25th - August 5th, and that you will collect your work no later than August 13th at 4:30pm.
