The Ontario Breeding Bird Atlas maps the distribution and relative abundance of approximately 300 species of breeding birds. This Atlas Square Bash will help increase the amount of information in one of the Atlas Squares along Highway 518.

We will pair experienced birders with novice birders to ID birds by sight & sound, all experience levels are welcome. We encourage participants to come together after for lunch and to share stories, what they saw, and connect.

** This event requires off-trail walking, likely in rugged terrain with biting insects**

We will meet 08:45 at the Canadian Tire Parking lot by Oastler Park Drive enterance to sort out locations, meet your birding buddy, and arrange carpooling.

To keep true to nature club's goal of fostering a love of environment and knowledge sharing, we hope to mix groups with beginner and experienced birders. This will help to collect the information we need, while sharing tips and tricks to those of you who are new to the hobby!
