South Muskoka Junior Program Registration Form

Junior golfers are the cornerstone of South Muskoka. Our mission is to offer an inclusive and welcome learning environment for youth of all ages and abilities. Joining South Muskoka as a junior member ensures priority access to our Junior Program, preferred pricing on our instructional clinics and camps, and access to our member events.

Registration for each program will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, however, priority will be given to South Muskoka Junior Members. Your child's registration is not confirmed until a member of our team reaches out to confirm their spot and payment is received. Most programs require a minimum of 6 participants to run. 

PLEASE NOTE: While we strive to keep junior programming affordable, we recognize people have varying financial situations. At the end of the day, we never want money to be a barrier to your child's access to the game of golf. If you require assistance in any way, please contact Director of Golf Adam Frederick (adam@southmuskoka.com) who will be happy to find a suitable solution. All emails will be treated with the strictest confidence. 

We are pleased to offer several different programs for youth of all ages and skill levels. Please read the below options carefully before moving forward to registration.

JUNIOR NIGHT @ SOUTH

Monday nights are dedicated to juniors at South Muskoka Curling & Golf Club. The tee is blocked from 3:30p-6pm specifically for junior use, with some kids playing a full 9 and others only playing a few holes. Our PGA of Canada professionals run two separate instructional sections at no extra charge for dedicated age groups:

4:00pm - 4:45pm: Ages 10 & up
5:00pm - 5:45pm: Ages 5-9

Our 5-9 year olds will often use the short course on the driving range to build their skillset. 

Cost: Free for all junior members. 

FUTURE STARS CLINICS

Ages 5-7

The perfect 4-week program to introduce your child to the game of golf. Our team will cover everything from putting and chipping to full-swing shots. We incorporate the use of SNAG (Starting New At Golf) equipment to help the students enjoy the game from the very beginning. 

Cost: $100 (member) / $120 (non-member)

GIRLS' CLUB

Ages 8+

Who runs the world? Girls. South Muskoka is excited to offer a weekly clinic for young girls who are looking to get into the game. Led by Head Professional Jacklynn Miller, participants will develop their golf skills in a group setting through a number of fun activities and drills.

Cost: $100 (member) / $120 (non-member)

3-DAY JUNIOR GOLF CAMPS

Ages 9-13

Our 3-day golf camps are designed for beginner to intermediate golfers looking to learn the game alongside their peers. Participants will be introduced to short and long-game fundamentals, group activities, golf etiquette and sportsmanship. A daily snack and lunch are included each day. Every camp is led by a PGA of Canada Professional.

Cost: $199 (members) / $229 (non-members).

Additional sessions may be added based on demand and availability.

SOUTH MUSKOKA JUNIOR ACADEMY

Ages 11 & up

South's Junior Academy is designed for junior golfers looking to grow their competitive skillset. Juniors that take part in the Academy will received dedicated weekly instruction, on-course lessons and activities throughout the summer months. Participants in this program are expected to attend all weekly practice sessions, play regularly in Junior Night and eligible club events, and participate in the Pepsi Tour. An orientation session will be arranged once registration is complete. This program is limited to 20 players; should we receive more than 20 registrants, a try-out will be scheduled.

Cost: $425, which includes:

May 25, June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 – 4:00pm to 5:00pm
July 6, 13, 20, 27, Aug 3, 10, 24 – 3:00pm to 4:00pm

On-Course Play
Tuesday Mornings (July & August | 7:00am)
Juniors will head off the Back 9 to play a mixture of games / competition with supervision from PGA of Canada professionals.

Junior Night
Mondays from May 16 to August 29
It is expected that Junior Academy participants play a minimum of 9-holes on Junior Night.

PEPSI TITLEIST TOUR TEAM

Ages 9 & up

South Muskoka is proud to belong to the Pepsi Tour, which sees kids ages 9-18 compete against juniors from other clubs in the Simcoe area. The Pepsi Tour is a great step to exposure juniors to competition. The team is limited to 25 individuals; should registration exceed available spaces a qualifying round will take place.

Please note: all Junior Academy members are required to participate in the Pepsi Titleist Junior Tour.
