By signing your name below, you are stating that you, your band, or your musical act understand the following Rules and regulations for bands, musical acts, and solo musicians participating in the 2024 Music in the Park Festival Fundraiser, including additional details, information, and examples:
1. Eligibility:
a. All bands, musical acts, and solo musicians must be at least 18 to participate or have their parent or guardian sign the consent forms.
b. All genres of music are welcome, including but not limited to rock, pop, jazz, country, hip-hop, and electronic.
2. Application Process:
a. Interested participants must submit this application form, including a brief bio, contact information, and links to their music or performances. You must have a following and social media presence.
b. Applications must be submitted by the specified deadline to be considered for participation, August 1st, 2024.
c. The festival committee will review all applications and select the participants based on their musical quality, diversity, and suitability for the event.
d. Selected participants will be notified via email AND phone call.
3. Performance Guidelines:
a. Each band, musical act, or solo musician will be allocated a specific time slot for their performance, ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
b. Performances should not exceed the allocated time slot to ensure a smooth flow of the event.
c. Participants must bring their instruments, equipment, and any necessary technical support, including microphones, amplifiers, and cables, unless told otherwise by the sound coordinator (Stacy Smith).
d. Sound checks will be scheduled before the event to ensure proper sound quality during performances.
e. Participants are responsible for any additional equipment or instruments they may require beyond the basic setup provided by the festival.
4. Conduct and Behavior:
a. Participants must conduct themselves professionally and respectfully towards the festival organizers, staff, volunteers, and other participants.
b. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or offensive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate disqualification from the event.
c. Participants are responsible for the safety and security of their personal belongings and equipment. Bushkill Park and the festival organizers will not be liable for any loss, stolen, or damaged goods.
5. Promotion and Marketing:
a. Participants are encouraged to promote their participation in the festival through their social media channels, websites, and other promotional platforms.
b. The festival organizers will provide participants with official logos, banners, and promotional materials for marketing purposes.
c. Participants must acknowledge the festival in their promotional materials and include the official event hashtag when posting about it. #MusicInTheParkFestivalFundraiser and #BushkillParkFriends
d. Participants may sell merchandise, such as CDs, t-shirts, and posters, during the event. However, they are responsible for managing their sales and transactions.
6. Compensation and Benefits:
a. Participants will not receive monetary compensation for their performances at the festival, as it is a fundraising event.
b. However, participants will be able to showcase their talent to a diverse audience, gain exposure, and potentially attract new fans.
7. Liability:
a. Participants acknowledge that the event is rain or shine and are expected to perform regardless of weather conditions.
b. Bushkill Park and the festival organizers will not be liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during the event.
c. Participants are responsible for obtaining their own liability insurance, if desired, to cover any potential risks associated with their performance.
8. Changes and Amendments:
a. The festival organizers reserve the right to make changes or amendments to the rules and regulations if necessary, and participants will be notified accordingly.
By participating in the 2024 Music in the Park Festival Fundraiser, bands, musical acts, and solo musicians agree to abide by these rules and regulations. Failure to comply may result in disqualification from the event. Participants also acknowledge that Bushkill Park and the festival organizers are not liable for any loss, stolen, or damaged goods and that the event is rain or shine.
9. Schedule:
Stage 1 is a permanent stage facing the backfield, equipped with a complete sound system. This stage is perfect for more significant performances and bands.
Stage 2, on the other hand, is a pop-up bandstand situated outside near the pavilions. Just like Stage 1, it also has a complete sound system provided. This stage is ideal for live music performances that want to enjoy the outdoor atmosphere.
Stage 3 is an indoor stage well-suited for solo acts, duets, and small groups of 4 or less. However, please note that no sound system is provided at this stage. You must bring your sound system if your group wishes to perform on this stage.
**If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering to provide a sound system for Stage 3 on that day, please don't hesitate to reach out. We would greatly appreciate any assistance ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all performers.
