The Suwannee County MLK Day 2025 Parade will be on Monday, January 20, 2025. The parade line-up will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Riveroak Technical College in Live Oak, Florida. The parade will start at 10:00 a.m. followed by a church service at 11a.m. You are responsible for your parade entry number. There are honorable parade guests that have reserved front seating in the parade. If you would like a spot closer towards the front after our honorees, please get in line earlier and a helper on duty will direct you to a position in line. The MLK Day Festival for vendors and informational booths will be open to set up starting at 8am. The MLK Day Festival will be located in the footbal stadium parking field and will take place during and after the MLK Day Service.

The Suwannee County Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee does not provide liability insurance for the protection of parade participants or spectators. In consideration of participation in such activity, the parade participants do hereby release and forever discharge the Suwannee County Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee, its officials, and members, jointly and severally from any and all actions, causes of action claims and demands for, upon or by release of any damage, loss or injury in consequences of participating in the Suwannee County Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee activities.
This release extends and applies to, and also covers and includes, all unknown, unforeseen, unanticipated and unsuspected injuries, damages, loss and liability, and the consequences, thereof, as well as those now disclosed and known to exist. The provision of any state, federal, local and/or territorial law or statue providing in substance that releases shall not extend to claim, demands, injuries or damages which are unknown or suspected to exist at the time, to the person executing such releases, are hereby expressly waived.
I hereby agree on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, to indemnify the Suwannee County Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee, its officials and members jointly and severally, and hold them harmless from and against any and all actions, claims, demands, and liabilities, loss, damages, and expense of whatever nature and kind, including attorney fees, which may at any time be incurred by reason of my participation in the Suwannee County Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade and the MLK Day of Celebration as a whole.
It is further agreed and understood that my participation in the Suwannee County Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade is not construed as an admission of any liability and/or acceptance or assumptions of responsibility of the Suwannee County Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee, its officials, and members, jointly and severally. Parade and festival participants shall absolve the Suwannee County Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee, its officials, and members, jointly or severally may become liable as a result of any alleged action during the Parade and Festival by participants or any other party.
