    If you are only participating in the parade asva participant, you do not have to fill out any sponsorship information. You do not have to be a sponsor to participate in the parade. There is no charge to participate in the parade! We welcome all community involvement! Let's support our veterans!

                                            Participants Guidelines

                                   The Parade Starts Promptly at 11:00 AM

                     

    * Please arrive at your designated post (A, B. C. D) No later than 8:30 AM. (Please have someone responsible to be at your section) to make sure you have enough space for your group. If you will have a vehicle in the parade. please be at your designated staging area by 8:30 AM. There will be 3 to 5 parade Patrol's in each section to answer any questions and to make sure each group is in order. There will be 4 sections of the parade. Section "A", "B", "C", and "D".

    * Please Do Not get off from your vehicle to sing, dance, etc. We do not want anyone to get while the parade is moving forward.

    * Parade Participants are not allowed to distribute any candy, prizes, or other items during the parade. The reason is to avoid accidents. Giveaways can be given out at game booths or souvenir booths. Bring your own giveaways. Company logo items are also welcomed.

    * All agencies who will participate in the parcade, please fill out the information form and submit no later than June 25, 2023. We need to have the script ready for the emcee to look over. If you will be dropping out of the parade, please let us know at least 1 week ahead of time.

    * There will be markers on the pavement, approximately 50 ft apart from each other. Each marker is a stationed area where your group can stop to have the onlookers get a chance to view your decorated group, vehicle, etc.

    * Participants may march displaying their agency banner or ride in a vehicle of your choice. If you decide to drop out of the parade, please notify us within one week prior to the event. This is a fundraiser for the organization, so no refunds will be granted unless circumstances were beyond your control. If you have any questions regarding the parade, please do not hesitate to call Jacqueline at 210-646- 8408.

    * Parade Patrol's will be identifiable wearing a Yellow Color Safety Vest.

    The Jacqueline Smith Foundation is proud to announce our 3rd Annual Charlie Watkins Parade of Honor for Vets where we bring city of San Antonio together to honor, and celebrate our veterans that has proudly served our country. Our community will come together to be the change we want to see!

    This is also a fundraising event where we use the proceeds to purchase clothing, shoes, and hygiene items for our homeless veterans. LET'S SUPPORT OUR VETS!!!

  • Parade Waiver

    PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING AS A PARTICIPANT INTHE 3RD ANNUAL CHARLIE WATKINS PARADE OF HONOR FOR VETS

    I,     (participant) wish to participate in the 3rd Annual Charlie Watkins Parade of Honor for Vets("Event") on Saturday, July 1, 2023. All participants (parents or guardians on behalf of minors) must complete and sign the Waiver Form before being able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of an Event official relative to my ability to safely participate in the Event. I assume all risks associated as a participant in the Event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, including high heat and /or humidity, traffic and conditions of the parade route, all such risks being known and appreciated by Participant. I hereby grant permission to the Jacqueline Smith Foundation, and Event's sponsors to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for a legitimate purpose.

  • WAIVER INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
