  • Cy King Community Tennis Fund Application

  • Grants are available for eligible Raleigh junior tennis players as defined below. First time applicants must be between the ages of 10 and 16. If applicants have previously received funding they may also reapply for special requests up to age 18.

    Players who are already engaged in tennis via JTT, tournaments, clinics or private lessions may receive:

    • Category 1: Up to $300 for tennis lessons, clinics, camps, and league entry fees
    • Category 2: Up to $300 for tournament entry fees, out-of-town tournament travel expenses, tennis racquets, strings, tennis clothes or shoes. 

    Category 3: New category for beginners only: Up to $300 for beginner players to cover equipment, lessons, or clinics to help introduce new players to tennis and grow their knowledge and skills in the game.

    Applicants can apply for one grant per calendar year. Applications must be received by November 30th to be awarded within the same calendar year.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    • Must be a Raleigh resident
    • Must be between the ages of 10-16 years old at the time of the application
    • Family income must not exceed $100,000 per year or exceed $125,000 per year after taxes for multiple applicants from the same family.
