We are currently operating a waiting list for rescue space for rodents and rabbits. Should you wish for your animal(s) to be added to the waiting list, please fill out the form below, giving us as much information as possible about the animals you need to rehome, and the reasons why you are no longer able to care for them.
Our waiting list is unfortunately often long, and it can take many months for space to become available, especially for rabbits. We recommend contacting other rescues while you are on the waiting list, and ask that you please let us know if you find a space for your animal elsewhere so we can update our list. Please make sure you only surrender your animal to a rescue who has a minimum monitoring/quarantine period and who carries out checks on potential adopters.
When we are able to offer space for your animal(s), we will contact you via email and ask for a response within 24 hours. Please add our email address to your safe senders list to ensure we do not go into your junk - tinypawsmcr@gmail.com
When surrendering your animal(s) into our care, you will be required to sign an animal surrender form to sign over ownership of the animal(s) to us.
If you are able to make a donation towards the care of your animal(s) while with us, this would be greatly appreciated. Our largest outgoings are on vet bills – for example, vet checks cost us £50, and rabbits costs between £200-£250 to get ready for adoption (neutering & vaccinating).
We monitor all new animals for a minimum of 2 weeks before we will advertise them as available for adoption, this is to allow us to assess their health and behaviour so we can decide on the type of home they will be best suited to. All rabbits will be neutered and vaccinated against Myxomatosis, RHD1 & RHD2 if not already covered. We generally neuter all male mice, gerbils, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus to allow for easier bonding and more same-species companionship options. We carefully vet any potential new homes to ensure all animals will be cared for properly and their needs will always be met.
The rescue is run entirely voluntarily from our home in the Whitefield area of Bury, North Manchester.
