This job involves a lot of physical activity. We often log 10,000 steps in an 8 hour shift. For folks who like to move around a lot, this job is a great fit. The work involves quickly walking to get items for customers and bending down to measure and put shoes on customers' feet (from a fitting stool). It involves carrying shoes boxes, going up and down one flight of stairs, and occasionally climbing a ladder (in a safe manner you'll be taught). Are you willing and able to do these things?

Good To Know
We want to be upfront about how we work so that you can decide if this is a good fit for you. Please review the following carefully.
- Cell phones/smart watches are not permitted on the sales floor. They must be stowed while on duty.
- Smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes, etc. are not permitted in or around Mast Shoes.
- We are busiest during the following months: April, May, June, September, October, November, and December. Everyone is needed during these months and time off is not permitted during these peak times. We close the first week of January and the week of July 4th for staff to enjoy time off (you're paid your full rate during store closures). Additional time off is approved in January, February, early March, July, August, and early September (pending schedule availability).
- All staff members work on Saturdays. Everyone has Sundays and Mondays off.
- This job involves a lot of interaction with people. It is the responsibility of everyone (co-workers, managers, owners) at Mast Shoes to create a kind, positive, welcoming atmosphere for our customers and each other every shift.
- At Mast Shoes, we welcome and serve all people. This includes but is not limited to people of all races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, gender identities, ages, ideologies, and political views.
- Mast Shoes is a sales-driven business and has a 7-step process for guiding and serving customers through our shoe fitting process and purchase. Selling and fitting shoes is the primary responsibility of this position, however, everyone helps with stock, displays, cleaning, and other store-prepping duties.
- This job involves a lot of physical work and movement. Most days we log 10,000 steps. For folks who enjoy moving around a lot, this job is a great fit. The physical work includes quickly walking to get items for customers. It involves bending over to measure feet, putting shoes on customers' feet, and checking fit. It involves carrying shoe boxes, going up and down stairs, and occasionally climbing a ladder (in a safe manner).
