This award will be made to a local or regional authority such as a local council, natural resource management region, or other local, or regional agency, for innovation and excellence in creating partnerships with their Landcare
(note: refer to definition of Landcare) community.
Please complete this form, including the contact details of the Local Government nominated and the nominator (if different), and information that demonstrates how the nominee meets the judging criteria below. Please remember to send two digital photographs and any relevant supporting documents.
Judging Criteria - the judges will use the information provided in this nomination to assess the extent to which the nominee has:
1. Developed strong partnerships, through a well structure engagement and communication strategy, with Landcare community groups to ensure community engagement and involvement in achieving superior natural resource management outcomes.
2. Clearly demonstrated community group engagement and support in addressing agency priorities in an innovative way.
3. Used a multi-disciplinary approach in planning and partnerships (and included environmental/production, community/social and financial strategies for achieving best practice NRM results).
4. Links Landcare initiatives with others including other agencies, businesses, organisations, neighbours, schools and community groups (e.g. through plans and cooperative projects).
5. Applicants must provide 2 letters from Landcare groups that acknowledge how the agency has partnered with the group to improve capacity and increased participation in on-ground work.
The 2023winner of this Award will be nominated for the 2023 New South Wales Local or Regional Agency Landcare Partnership Award.
