This award will be made to an outstanding, innovative community group that is working towards sustainable land use and/or enhancing or protecting an area on behalf of the community.
Please complete this form, including the contact details of the group nominated and the nominator (if different), and information that demonstrates how the nominee meets the judging criteria below. Please remember to send two digital photographs and any relevant supporting documents.
Judging Criteria - the judges will use the information provided in this nomination to assess the extent to which the nominees have:
1. Developed an innovative approach or innovative processes to achieve superior environmental outcomes.
2. Uses comprehensive plans e.g. property and/or group and/or catchment plans as a basis for your group activities. Provide a copy of your plans. These may show physical, strategic, management and other attributes of your group’s work.
3. Repaired degraded land/environments or prevented degradation and/or developed some on-farm and/or community benefit from your group’s activity.
4. Sought advice and worked with others, including the community, other Landcare environment/community groups, government, business and schools to develop your group, your plans and your industry.
5. Shared results to encourage others to be involved in Landcare practices, shared Landcare skills, practices/outcomes, plans and ideas with your wider community (others not involved in your group) e.g. through field days or education campaigns.
The 2023 winner of this Award will be nominated for the 2023 New South Wales Landcare Community Group Award.
