Prep Instructions. Please read carefully as these steps are critical in the spray tan process

I hereby agree to shave any unwanted hair and exfoliate at least 24hrs prior to my spray tan appt. This is a very important aspect of spray tanning as this is key to your tan developing even and not fading as fast.I understand that I should not shower within 6 hrs of my appt and come free of all soaps, lotions, makeup, deodorant and perfume.I understand all waxing, spa, eyelash and mani/pedi services should be completed 24hrs prior to my appointment. I understand that getting these services after my spray tan can effect the development of the tan. Spray tanning should be done after all the above mentioned.I understand that whether my appointment is mobile or not, that I will be ready at the time specified.I understand that if I had a sunburn in the past several weeks there is a chance that the spray tan will not develop evenly in those areas due to the damage on the skin. I accept that if I proceed with my appointment, I do so knowing that results are varied.I understand and agree to the after-care instructions and for any unexpected circumstance that have happened due to not following these instructions are in my own risk.I understand that in rare occasions there are risks associated with having a spray tan. I further understand that in rare circumstances skin irritation and discomfort may occur.I understand that because of the natural cycle and wear and tear, I will need to maintain my tan through hydration and moisturizing.I understand that during certain times of the month and some medications can change the pH of my skin and therefor change the outcome of the tan.

Post Care Instructions

I understand that I need to wear or bring dark, loose, baggy clothes to my appointment so that some initial transfer of the cosmetic bronzer can be limited.NO tight leggings, jeans, socks, or tight shoes immediately after your spray tanI understand that some transfer of the cosmetic bronzer may occur and that it is water soluble and will come out in the wash.I understand to avoid skin to skin contact after my spray tan and prior to the first rinse time. Limit touching your skin with your hands, thighs touching or arms touching your sides. Wear loose, full coverage clothing to avoid issues. It can result in unwanted patches on hands or body. This is included when sleeping in the solution.I understand that I should avoid water until my desired rinse time. This includes sweating, exercising, doing dishes/laundry, etc.I understand that before and after a spray tan I should avoid bar soaps and lotions like Dove, Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works as well as alcohol based toners, retinol, acne treatments and harsh products as they will play a role in the tan fading sooner.I understand and agree to the after-care instructions and for any unexpected circumstance that have happened due to not following these instructions are at my own risk.I understand that in rare occasions there are risks associated with having a spray tan. I further understand that in rare circumstances skin irritation and discomfort may occur.I understand that because of the natural skin cycle and wear and tear, that my tan might last only 7-10 days.

Warning: The spray tan ingredient DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) has been approved only for external application and should not be inhaled or ingested internally.

Warning: This product does not contain a sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn.

Repeated exposure to the sun of unprotected skin while sun tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin even if you do not burn. Spray tanning is accomplished in part by application of a solution containing the active ingredient DHA. According to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), DHA is a color additive for use in imparting color to the human body. However, its use in cosmetics — including sunless “tanning” products — is restricted to external application.

The FDA advises that spray tan users should avoid inhaling or ingesting DHA or letting the spray get into your eyes. When using DHA-containing products as an all-over spray or mist, it may be difficult to avoid exposure in a manner for which DHA is not approved, including the area of the eyes, lips, or mucous membrane, or internally. Therefore, it is recommended that you take protective measures to eliminate eye contact, inhalation or ingestion during your spray tan session, such as:

- Using protective eyewear/keeping eyes closed.

- Wearing nose filters

- Sealing lips with lip balm

- Using protective undergarments

You may bring your own protective items, or you may borrow / use items that we provide for this purpose.

The spraying process will take approximately fifteen (15) minutes. After spraying, you will dry approximately five (5-10) minutes before putting your clothes back on, and you should not shower, bathe or sweat excessively for eight (8) hours. The bronzing and tanning solutions used during your session have the potential to stain clothing. We recommend that you wear something dark in color that can be stained without concern. Cotton clothing is less likely to stain. After your tanning session, you should wear dark, loose fitting clothes. It is also possible that the tanning solution may transfer to other clothing, furniture or car seats after your session. Washing or dry-cleaning will usually, but not always, remove the color. I suggest bringing a towel to cover your car seat. Sol Obsession Spray Tanning LLC / Heather Migneault is not responsible for potential stains to clothing or upholstery. Please be careful. Some individuals in certain circumstances may be allergic to one or more ingredients in the spray tan solution. In such a case, please discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. Be advised that a small percentage of people have skin that does not react favorably to spray tanning. For this reason, I do NOT advise being sprayed for the first time when your appearance is critical; e.g., wedding, special occasion, photographic session, modeling assignment, etc.

LIABILITY RELEASE

I hereby agree to allow Sol Obsession Spray Tanning LLC / Heather Migneault to apply spray tan solution to my skin. To my knowledge, I have no medical condition or allergy which would preclude me from having this procedure done. I agree to hold Sol Obsession Spray Tanning LLC / Heather Migneault harmless of any and all liability for medical complications that may arise from exposure to the spray tan solution. I have been advised to discontinue use if any reaction occurs. I agree to hold Sol Obsession Spray Tanning / Heather Migneault harmless of any and all liability for pregnancy-related medical complications that may arise from exposure to the spray tan solution. I acknowledge that I have been advised to consult with a physician who can properly assess the pregnancy- related risk and complications potentially involved through exposure to spray tanning and DHA while pregnant.

I acknowledge the importance of wearing protective items to limit / prevent inhalation or ingestion of DHA in the area of the eyes, lips, or mucous membrane, or internally. I also acknowledge that I have been given the opportunity to wear my own protective items and that protective items have been made available to me free of charge. Furthermore, I agree to release Sol Obsession Spray Tanning / Heather Migneault from any liability in the event of stains to clothing, car and furniture upholstery, jewelry and accessories, and any other objects my body might come into contact with. I acknowledge that Sol Obsession Spray Tanning / Heather Migneault is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property, personal injury of any kind, or death. I release Sol Obsession Spray Tanning / Heather Migneault from any liability should any of these events take place in regards to myself or any minor that I choose to bring with me. I acknowledge that any minor that I choose to bring with me is 100% my responsibility. I acknowledge that I chose to come to the address that Sol Obsession Spray Tanning / Heather Migneault provided, and vice versa, (in order to receive a spray tan) and therefore release Sol Obsession Spray Tanning / Heather Migneault from any and all liability and waive my right to sue for any reason whatsoever.

I understand that a MINIMUM 24 HOUR NOTICE IS REQUIRED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE. A schedule change may need to happen and I will do my best to work with you. Please be aware that time is precious and filling appointment times, especially last minute are valuable to me and to my clients. There will be a $10 non-refundable deposit at time of booking.
