    If you are enquiring about a kitten under 6 months of age, and you do not have another cat or kitten at home OR you are not planning to adopt another kitten at the same time, please do not submit this form. Instead, please research "single kitten syndrome" to gain an understanding of why we do not adopt young kittens out on their own unless this is explicitly indicated in their listing. Thank you.

Kittens are not ready for adoption until they are at least 11-12 weeks of age, as they must be over 1kg in order to be safely desexed. While we understand that people want as much time as possible with their future family member, this cannot be the sole consideration when adopting. Finding the perfect fit for our kittens (and cats) based on their unique needs and personality is our top priority, and it should be yours, too.

    The Australian Veterinary Association says that caring for a
    cat will cost about $1,722 per year. 

    Here is a basic list to consider:

    Food: $360/year
    Litter: $240/year
    Worm/flea treatment: $200/year

    Vaccinations: $100/year
    Vet consults: $100 each
    Scratching post: $50+
    Bowls/litter tray/bedding etc: $100

    We're not trying to scare you! We just want to make sure you're well-informed if you haven't budgeted for a cat yet.
