  • We thank you for your interest in joining our school community. Lansing Catholic High School works with each of our families on the formation of students to set them up to be successful spiritually, intellectually, and socially according to our mission statement:

    The Lansing Catholic community forms students spiritually, intellectually, and socially into faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. 

    The purpose of this questionnaire is to assess how successfully we can partner with your family to live out our school's mission in less than four years. This questionnaire comes before our application and does not have an associated fee. If it is determined that your transfer is approved you will be invited to submit the formal application and fee. 

    The following documents must be submitted as part of the pre-approval process: 

    • Transcript listing classes completed, grades, and credits earned (can be unofficial)
    • Current class schedule and grades (screenshots are fine)
    • Discipline report
    • Attendance report

  • Spiritual Formation

  • The Lansing Catholic community forms students spiritually, intellectually, and socially into faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.  

    While being Catholic is not a requirement of Lansing Catholic High School, active participation in theology classes, school Masses, retreats, and theology service projects is expected.

    All students complete service hours as part of Lansing Catholic High School's graduation requirements. Transfer students must complete at minimum 10 hours per semester attending LCHS. 

  • Intellectual Formation

  • The Lansing Catholic community forms students spiritually, intellectually, and socially into faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.  

    Transfer students will be on probation for one calendar year (two semesters) after their start date. During this time, students are expected to pass all classes and be proactive in academic success including communicating with teachers, completing assignments on time, checking grades, and asking for help when needed.

    Lansing Catholic High School requires the following documents as part of the pre-approval process:

    • Transcript listing classes completed, grades, and credits earned (can be unofficial)

  • Social Formation

  • The Lansing Catholic community forms students spiritually, intellectually, and socially into faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.  

    Social formation encompasses the House System, athletics, clubs, dances, and other social events and activities at Lansing Catholic.

    All students are expected to follow all guidelines set forth in the Student Handbook on topics including but not limited to uniforms, mandatory drug testing, class attendance, no cell phone or backpacks in the classrooms, and threats to safety and welfare.

    Please also note, the Michigan High School Athletics Association has rules on athletic eligibility. Unless a high school student meets one of the 15 stated MHSAA exceptions listed here a student will not be eligible for the next season in a sport he or she participated in at his or her former high school during the most recent/previous school year. A student would be eligible in sports he or she did not participate in during the previous or current school year. However, families may apply for a waiver.

  • Transfer Contract

  • Please note, all transfer students are placed on probation for one calendar year (two academic semesters) from their start date. Probation includes monitoring of the student by the school counselors and administration. The student is required to adhere to the following stipulations: 

    1. Spiritually – You are expected to embrace Lansing Catholic High School’s mission by actively participating in your theology class, school Masses, retreats, and theology service projects.
    2. Intellectually – You are expected to pass all classes. You are expected to be proactive in your academic success including communicating with your teachers, completing assignments on time, checking your grades, and asking for help when needed. 
    3. Socially – You are expected to follow all guidelines set forth in the Student Handbook, including mandatory drug testing. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in detentions, service hours, counseling, suspension, or expulsion. If a transfer student commits an offense for which an existing LCHS student would be suspended, then the transfer student will be expelled. 
    4. Attendance – You are expected to be on time for all of your classes every day. Tardies and absences will be dealt with as behavior issues as outlined in the Student Handbook. 

    If the transfer student or parents violate any part of this contract, then the student may be immediately asked not to return to Lansing Catholic High School. Student progress will be assessed after one semester and this contract will be extended, revised, or canceled at that time.
