A core tenet of WRG is that white and non-Black in community with us are transparent about what wealth, resources, and inheritance they have access to. This is an important step in acknowleding and recognizing the degree to which you and your family have benefitted from white supremacy, slavery, redlining and anti-Blackness.
We've attatched Philly’s Black Visioning Group’s Wealth Transparency/Financial Access form beneath which can be used as a tool to help you recognize what you are prioritizing and if how you spend money aligns with what you say you believe in. It's neccessary when committing to repair that you are intentionally challenging yourself and shifting what you center to better make room repair.
WRG asks of their contributors to be committing of at least 10% of what they make monthly to reparations.
Other things to consider: are you supported financially in anyway by your family, how often do you eat out or pay for tattoos/piercings/concerts ect.
