How can we work together?
Our key community engagement focus is to promote headspace services and share about how headspace can help, the importance of getting help early and how to refer/access our services.
Learn about headspace
We can come out and present to your staff about headspace Southport. Our presentations have a focus on building stakeholders understanding of headspace services and referral pathways. Presentations are approx.1 hour and touch on the below topics:
- What is headspace and where are we located
- Why would a young person come to headspace
- What programs/services we offer and what support looks like
- Groups/programs we have available at our centres
- Our Youth Advisory Council (YAC) and how to get a young person involved
- How to refer to headspace
Please note that if you are wanting a Clinician from our headspace Early Psychosis program to deliver an in-service, you will need to request via earlypsychosis@headspacesouthport.org.au
Event Partnership and Participation
There are a number of ways we can work with you on events/activities/something else cool.
If your service/agency is planning an event, conference, EXPO or activity that has a youth mental health and wellbeing focus, we can attend as headspace representatives to join in and support your activities. We can also host a headspace stall, providing opportunities for community members, services & young people to interact with us. Our stall can include resources about headspace services, other local or national youth mental health resources and merchandise to give away.
We are keen to hear of opportunties to partner with services/community groups on co-located activities and events. This could look like a "pop-up" clinic at our Southport centre or a special workshop series during school-holiday time.
We may also be able to partner with you on organsing and running a community event if it is in line with our priority areas.
Let's collaborate!
Forget the stalls and wellbeing expos, we want to help you dream big and deliver an experience that truly engages participants. Got an idea in mind? Let’s hear it. If not, we can help you brainstorm innovative ways we can lead or participate in activities and events.
We work closely with stakeholders to plan and deliver impactful projects and programs that respond to the unique needs of young people in our community. Some past projects include:
- Partnered with the Gold Coast Suns and Tackle Your Feelings for a mental health and AFL event for young men. Click here to view the recap.
- Partnered with the Multicultural Communities Council Gold Coast (MCCGC) to host a Meet & Eat. Click here to watch the recap.
- Supported Gold Coast Youth Hubs in cofacilitating their Runway Bay Youth Group Holiday Activity. Click here to watch the recap.
