  • Run an open RPG at Badger Badger

It's a tale as old as time - you want to play a Roleplaying Game, but you're a Games Master without a group... Well, we're here to help!

  • How it works

If you're a Games Master and would like to run a Roleplaying Game that's open to the public here at Badger Badger, you're in the right place. (If you're a player looking to join an open game, take a look here!)

Whether it's a one-shot you've been aching to try out with new players or you'd like to find a group for a longer running campaign, we'll be happy to host.

Fill in this form and, once approved, your game will be added to our dedicated Roleplaying Games page and our events calendar for players to sign up.

Players pay our standard game session rate to play, though we generally allow a good bit of extra time for RPG sessions organised this way (up to 4.5 hours).

We provide the following benefits to GMs for offering public games:

    • GMs don't pay to play their game.
    • GMs receive a discount on their food (50%) and drink (30%) during the session.

Should the game continue privately after an initial session, the GM may continue to play for free and receive food and drink discounts on future sessions of the same campaign.

If you're looking to set up a private RPG at Badger Badger, simply book a table (and let us know it's for an RPG in the notes section - GM benefits only apply to GMs running an 'open' game as described above).

    • ↳ Note: this is not a guarantee of availability - we'll be in touch if we can't host your game on the selected day and time. We require a couple of weeks lead time to prep the event page and make tickets available. Fridays are currently unavailable. The 13:30 slot is only to be used for weekends and bank holidays. If you're planning an ongoing campaign, select the date of the first session

    • Finally, we take safeguarding in Roleplaying Games seriously, and as such require open games run at Badger Badger to make use of an 'X-Card' as a minimum protective measure. This will be advertised alongside your game. We encourage further safeguarding measures, such as the use of an 'RPG Consent Checklist'.
