All IACP certified trainers (certificants) must renew each certification every two years from the certification date. A requirement for certification renewal is acquiring and submitting Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
IACP recognizes the canine profession is continually evolving with new and different opportunities for continued education available to its members. For this reason we have created several general categories of education events that would meet the CEU requirements.
1. Conferences where education is the primary focus of the conference. IACP and NADOI are the two currently recognized association conferences, although others may be added from time to time.
2. Traditional events are structured training opportunities such as seminars and workshops.
3. IACP Pre-Approved Educational Events
