Information about the event:
Pre-registration is preferred, but you can also register at the door for this free event. We look forward to meeting you and seeing your quilts!
10:00am - 12:00 pm:
Coffee and light snacks will be served. During the morning session, you’ll see a presentation about historic quilts by quilt historian Connie Brown, and Nicole Musgrave will help Quilt Alliance staff demonstrate the Go Tell It! video documentation project. Come for the presentation and stay to document quilts that you bring along (made by you or someone else). We'll also have interactive and educational displays until 4:00pm.
1:00 - 4:00 pm:
During this free quilt documentation session, we will have digital photography and videography stations set up. Quilt historian Connie Brown and quilt artist Nicole Musgrave will be available to help identify quilt patterns and other details of vintage and antique quilts. Documentation forms and quilt labels will be available to record and preserve information about your quilt(s). You can bring quilts you made, quilts you own (or both) to be documented. The quilts you bring can be ones made recently, vintage quilts or antique quilts--all quilts are welcomed! Coffee and light snacks will be served throughout the day.
