The ECOEA Local Leaders' Training is designed to bring together leadership teams from locals within ECOEA for a full day of training and planning. Leadership teams include your officers and building reps. The OEA Treasurer training will be provided for all officers as part of the Local Officers track. The Building Rep track will include Building Rep and Grievance training. The Officer and Building Rep tracks will come together to hear from the OEA officers with a luncheon roundtable. The afternoon will be spent working with guidance of Labor Relations Consultants to complete their Local Assessment Tool and begin planning for next year.
When registering, please designate which track you will follow for the morning sessions. Local Association teams will come together for the afternoon.
- 7:30 AM Registration with coffee and donuts available on arrival
- 8:00 AM Local Officer Training track which includes:
- OEA Treasurers' Training led by OEA Secy-Treasurer Mark Hill
- Leaders Framing a Common Vision; led by Alison Hoffa and Sarah Drinkard
- 9:30 AM Building Rep Training track which includes:
- Building Rep Training with Joel Glasser and Sarah Drinkard
- Grievance Training with Joel Glasser and Gary Kovach

- 11:45 AM Luncheon Roundtable with OEA officers
- 12:45 PM Building a Platform for Growth and Power; team planning sessions using the Local Assessment Tool. LRCs will lead locals teams in completing this tool.
- 2:30 PM Guided planning sessions ends but teams are welcome to stay through 3:00 PM
The ECOEA Local Leaders' Training will be held at R. G. Drage Career Technical Center, 2800 Richville Rd. SE, Massillon, OH.
