Some rescue dogs can be especially shy, nervous or anxious and fostering is a big responsibility. Please alert Support 4 Paws immediately to any undesirable behavior your foster dog may exhibit. Thank you.

  • Household Information

  • If needed, would you be willing to provide transport to and from adoption events or vet visits? This is not a requirement to foster but is very helpful when we're juggling a lot of dogs.*
  • Consent

  • Have you ever been convicted of animal cruelty, neglect, or abandonment?*
  • Fostered dogs belong to Support 4 Paws and must be returned upon demand. Fosters will have first right to adopt the dog they're fostering. Do you understand and agree?*
  • If the foster wishes to adopt the dog there will be an adoption fee. Do you agree?*
  • Do you understand and agree that Support 4 Paws can't guarantee temperament or behavior of any dog? These dogs are typically unknown to Support 4 Paws. You will be informed of any known or observed behaviors but part of fostering is finding out how well the dog is socialized and his/her confidence level.*
  • Do you understand and agree that there is an inherent risk with frightened or fearful dogs that may lead the dog to scratch or bite you or others in your home?*
  • Do you agree that you will not hold Support 4 Paws liable for any injuries you may sustain while fostering a dog? Support 4 Paws will not knowingly place an aggressive dog into a foster home but can't guarantee how the dog will react in a new environment.*
  • Do you agree that you have read and understand all of the questions above and that you have provided complete and accurate information?*
  • To minimize risk to you, the dog and others, Support 4 Paws will insist that foster dogs are not taken out in public for 2 weeks so that they have time to adjust and settle. Support 4 Paws doesn't support taking foster dogs to dog parks where they may become over-stimulated and over-excited potentially leading to unpredictable or undesirable behavior. A foster should socialize the dog thoughtfully by taking leashed walks and responsibly introducing the dog to other people - including kids as long as the kids have been instructed how to properly interact with a dog. Do you agree to abide by the above?*
