Class S exemption – A property occupied only by persons under the age of 18.

Any dwelling:
- Which is occupied solely by persons under the age of 18 and constitutes their only or main residence.
  The exemption starts on the day that the dwelling becomes occupied only by person(s) under the age of 18. This is because anyone under the age of 18 is not liable to pay Council Tax. The exemption will apply until any occupant turns 18.
  The Council will also need to know if anything happens which means that the property no longer meets the above criteria. Such changes may include (but not restricted to):
- Someone turning 18 years of age
- Someone moving into / out of the premise
