Release and waiver of liability

The Young Men's Adventure Weekend Society, the body responsible for producing the Young Men's Adventure Weekend 2023, requires that you, as a s volunteer, read and agree to the following:

1. I confirm that I have voluntarily agreed to participate as a volunteer in the Young Men's Adventure Weekend.
2. I understand that the activities involved in the Young Men's Adventure Weekend 2022 will be physically demanding at times and that personal injuries or property damage may occur. I am responsible for my own well-being at all times.
3. I have no reservations about my physical fitness or health that would prevent me from participating in physically demanding activities. I have advised the Society of any physical condition, allergies, or disability of mine.
4. I understand that the Young Men's Adventure Weekend 2023 takes place in a wilderness setting and includes such activities as hiking, campfires, games, using tools, swimming, and traveling to and from the site. I acknowledge the risks inherent in this setting and in these activities and recognize that serious personal injuries, damage to personal property or even death may occur. I agree to assume those risks and release the Society from any responsibility.
5. I hereby release and discharge the Society, my fellow volunteers, Participants, the hosts/owners/occupiers of the land at which the event is being held, and all other persons authorized to help produce the Young Men's Adventure Weekend 2023 from any and all claims that l, my heirs, successors or my personal representatives, may have for any injury, loss or damage, including injury resulting in death or disability sustained by me, however, caused.
6. I agree that all photographs/videos taken of me during the Young Men's Adventure Weekend 2023, and its Production Events, are the property of the YMAW Society of BC. These can be used at the discretion of the YMAW Society of BC.
