Just Braggin' is family owned and operated since 1989. We have been in business for over 36 years and thats all due to the love and passion the owner and our employees have for the beauty industry. Rick and his management team have create a laid back atmosphere where stylists, assistants and other team members can learn and grow. Our staff is friendly, kind, caring, driven and sometimes loud and crazy. What makes our salon different is the love and respect we have for eachother.
What we offer…
Rick, our salon owner, offers in-salon small group education classes every other Monday and most Fridays, which is available to all salon employees.
We work with some of the biggest names in the beauty industry a few times a year to host in-salon education. Keeping our salon and employees fresh is our biggest priority.
Every year 2 of our employees travel to LA with our color brand Aloxxi, where our team will learn new tips and tricks in the industry. This time is so special as it allows you to really connect with educators and other salons from all over the world.
JB offers a leveled pricing system 1-6. What does that mean? This system allows our team to see, understand and set goals for their future. A level system allows you to know how you will grow individually and shows you what that growth looks like monetarily, there is no guessing it’s black and white. You put in the work and you reap the benefits.
1 on 1 development meetings every 6 months to check in, set goals and communicate anything we both feel is important. All staff meetings are held 1-2 times a year, in these meetings we discuss any changes, policies, clients, education needs and salon happenings. It’s a 50/50 team work environment, your opinions and ideas matter to us and we want to hear about everything.
Yearly salon photo shoot, this allows our staff to keep their social media fresh and our website and bios up to date.
Family discounted pricing for anyone who lives in your household or who is claimed on your W2. We offer discounted color services to your immediate family because we know the importance of taking care of our own. All we ask is that these discounted services take place on you own time not scheduled work time.
Salon fun nights and holiday parties, a few times a year we close the salon early, get dressed up and meet for dinner & drinks. This allows us to spend quality time outside of the salon and not talk about work.

Who we are looking for...
Our salon is looking for someone who is passionate about the beauty industry, this person should want to continue to further their education and be willing to utilize social media to help build their brand and our salon. The perfect candidate would be someone who is creative, kind, honest, warm, believes in hard work and a great customer experience. We work hard and expect the same out of our employees, there are hundreds of salons in New Jersey our guests can choose any of them, but because of our dedication to customer service our salon has a strong following which helps us stand out from the rest!
Fun Facts:
Our salon is named after the owners son Justin. Rick was very cleaver in choosing the salon name, he took the "in" off of Justin and added it to his last name Bragg and there you have it... Just Braggin' Salon!
Rick's niece is also big in the hair world, you may know her as Devyn Pennell aka @Braggnbeauty! She's also the owner and creator of Braggn University, which is an online education platform for stylists. This is in our DNA!
