Safety & Security
The Eastern States Exposition coordinates with local, state, and federal authorities to ensure our safety protocols are at the highest level. With a year round security staff, seasonal security, and the assistance of local enforcement agencies significant time goes into reviewing safety procedures. If you ever need assistance while on site, please call 413.205.5555, which directly connects to our onsite security and police. Please also be aware of the following policies:
Weapons
ESE prohibits the possession of weapons on its property, including our parking lots or
company vehicles excluding any antique firearms, swords, or other similar item approved in writing by the Director of Public Safety for appropriate display or demonstration.
Harassment & Sexual Harassment
It is the goal of ESE to promote events that are free of sexual harassment or other forms of unlawful harassment such as harassment based upon sex, race, creed, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, age, physical or mental disability or handicap, pregnancy or pregnancy-related condition, veterans or military status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, transgendered status, results of genetic testing, or any membership in any group protected by applicable laws.
Sexual or other unlawful harassment of staff occurring in the workplace or in other settings in which staff find themselves in connection with their employment is unlawful and will not be tolerated by ESE. Further, any retaliation against an individual who has complained about sexual harassment or retaliation against individuals for cooperating with an investigation of a harassment complaint is similarly unlawful and will not be tolerated.
