Soundial Teaching Artist Application
  • Soundial Teaching Artist Application

  • Soundial's mission is to offer accessible, forward-thinking sonic arts education. We aim to foster an inclusive community by creating a supportive environment for underrepresented artists working with sound.

We're always looking for talented and diverse educators to join our community of teaching artists.

Our approach to contemporary sound education covers a wide range of sub-fields including acoustic ecology, creative coding, electronic music, graphic scores, improvisation, film, mixed media, performance, poetry, recording, sculpture, video, and more.

We also invite experts in artistic professional development to cover topics on grant writing, portfolio building, and essential tools for building a sustainable art practice.

For our fall/winter programming, we’re particularly interested in teachers who can cover the following topics:

    • Modular synthesis (VCV Rack)
    • Electroacoustic composition
    • History of electronic music
    • Recording techniques
    • Generative music
    • Tape loops
    • Scoring moving images

Submissions for our fall/winter programming are now closed. We will, however, consider rolling applications for one-day workshops and events.
