Our purpose at Asiatic Minds is to help our children discover their God-given skills, gifts, talents, and passion that will allow them to see their greatness as well as the greatness of our people. And upon discovering that greatness, infusing them with the desire to use it for the betterment of themselves, their families, our people, and the world. At Asiatic Minds, we understand that to achieve this we must work together to promote a positive atmosphere where our children can be successful. The following agreement ensures we all do our part to contribute to the success of our students.
As a parent I/we will:
· Make sure our child attends school every day well-nourished and rested.
· Make sure our child arrives on time in their required uniform. We understand that if our child does not show up in their required uniform, and the school has not been properly notified, our child will not be allowed into class.
· Make sure our child is properly equipped with a working laptop and camera. Further, that this camera is turned on during the duration of class. Asiatic Minds is a virtual online school that requires cameras to be on to ensure student success and participation.
· Inform the school on the first day of any absence.
· Make the school aware of any concerns or problems that may affect our child in school.
· Support and participate in the school's fundraising efforts.
· Attend parent teacher conferences, mandatory meetings with directress, and any necessary discussions about our child's progress.
· Be involved, support and encourage our child’s efforts.
· Provide an environment that is conducive to uninterrupted learning. Our child will be in a location free of distractions while in class.
· Register your child for school in a timely manner, paying all necessary fees and providing all necessary documents for enrollment.
· Pay our tuition and additional fees at the agreed upon time. (Tuition policy included in Parent Handbook)
The staff at Asiatic Minds will:
· Care for your child's safety and happiness
· Encourage children to believe in themselves, feel valued and achieve their potential.
· Provide a balanced, stimulating and well taught curriculum to meet the needs of your child.
· Achieve high standards of work and behavior through building good relationships and developing a sense of responsibility.
· Keep you informed about general school matters and your child's progress.
· Be open and welcoming and offer opportunities for you to become involved in the general life of the school.
· Contact parents at an early stage should concerns arise.
Together we will:
· Share concerns that might affect your child's learning.
· Support the child's learning and social development.
· Prepare the child to be a confident, successful, and happy individual who will be able to achieve their goals.
As a student at Asiatic Minds, I will:
· Come to school every day and be on time with equipment and uniform.
· Always maintain my camera on. If I am unable to do so, I will ensure my parent(s) contact the school in advance.
· Give my best effort in every class and do my best work.
· Be well behaved and sensible.
· Be polite and helpful to others, respecting myself, teachers, and classmates always.
· Follow our school rules.
· Share and talk about any difficulties I may have and ask for help when I need it.
· Pass on any required information to my parents.
· Remember that I represent the school and take pride in my achievements.
If I have a problem:
· I’ll try talking to the other person to sort it out.
· I’ll tell a grownup as soon as I can.
· The grown up will follow up the problem with me as soon as possible.
