If your application is selected, these are the minimum requirements for all Blue Collar Scholarship recipients:
Duties:
Work as part of a team to complete concrete projects that exceed customer expectations
Handle basic hand tools; (sledge hammer, hand saw, pick axe, etc.)
Operate large machinery; (skid steer, front end loader, etc.)
Maintain company safety standards and policies
Work in varying reasonable weather conditions
Safely handle potentially hazardous materials (chemical)
Operate in residential neighborhoods, professionally direct traffic around construction site as needed
Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50lbs+, bend, squat, load/unload, stand for long periods
Valid drivers license preferred
Must have effective communication skills
Ability to be a team player and problem solver
Proficiency in reading and light geometry and math
Experience with power tools/hand tools
Must have ability to abide by company policy/safety procedures
Ability to read/follow instructions to ensure client/customer satisfaction
Flexible work schedule, overtime opportunities available during peak seasons
Adaptability to changing work duties, helping out other team members when necessary
Compensation/Benefits:
Start time between 7AM Monday - Friday
Major Holidays off

As a w-2 employee, a Blue Collar Scholar's wages will be taxed each week and witheld as required by law. This employment via the "Blue Collar Scholarship" has a max term length of 90 days and a minimum of 30 days.
A Blue Collar Scholar receives:

2. Valuable apprentice skills that can propel a career in the high demand trades business
3. $500 Back to School Bonus on final day.
